We started without you!!

Bobbie and Big Jim are here and we have started the fun 2019-2020 season. Coffee in the clubhouse every morning, Wednesday BBQ and Sunday Breakfasts are going strong and well received.

Golf Course Update!

Everyone is asking for an update on the course - According to Ben and Jim Stevens it is in way better shape than last year and by the ever increasing color of green, the water is working!!!

The activity calendar is up and running and filling up fast.

We have a special day planned - a Marine Base Tour is scheduled for Tuesday March 3rd - make plans to join in!

Pioneer Day Parade - Twentynine Palms, CA

Several days ago we were contacted by the Chamber to provide our Logo for a float they were doing for the Pioneer Day Parade and they asked for volunteers to walk along and hand out Candy to the kids along the parade route...always fun to participate in a small town Parade.

Bobbie our Activity Director took the reins and recruited a few people to walk with her, shirts were distributed and Vickie ordered a bunch of candy and we were all set...

The float was being done by Visit29.org to represent all the accomodations in Twentynine Palms - Hotels, etc.

We had a beautiful morning with no wind, cool sunny weather and plenty of candy!

The bed represented the various available accomodations in Twentynine Palms.

On with the Parade! Of course there was a large Marine Presence...

Brigadier General Roger Turner, Commanding General, MAGTF Training Command, Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center in a nice 57 Chevy!

The recently Restored First Twentynine Palms Stage Coach (Bus Line) by the Historical Society!

They finally got some of the ornery kids in Jail!

In a town Known for its Murals these are the people who maintain them!

It was a fun day to help promote the City of Twentynine Palms and meet some people from town!

Our season has started we have morning coffee in the Clubhouse, Wednesday Social Hour and BBQ, Sunday Pancake Breakfasts and November 9th we start our Saturday Evening Dinners in the Clubhouse!

Got an update on the Golf Course from Ben, who says it is in better shape than it has been in a long time, water is flowing and many parts are green this year and repairs are being made daily...get your clubs polished up!!

Winter Season 2019-2020 Begins

WOW - What a pleasant surprise...

I returned from vacation (having just driven pretty much non-stop from Montana) to a wonderful Wednesday Evening Social Hour and BBQ! The season begins!! Too tired to take my camera but we had a nice social small crowd of about 8 people for snacks and dinner.

Too tired from the drive to bring my camera but for those not familiar we have a huge BBQ out back behind the clubhouse and it gets fired up every Wednesday for a "bring something to throw on the Barbie" and join us for dinner in the clubhouse!

This picture is from our Valentine's Day Steak Nite last year and will happen again in 2020!

We have a great winter season planned if you have not made your reservations yet, make plans to spend some time with us this winter! Plenty of activities are planned, including pool exercise and stretching classes, Saturday Evening dinners and dancing, New Years Eve Prime Rib dinner and celebration, Thanksgiving and Christmas Pot Luck, Valentine's Day Steak Dinner, March Luau Weekend and much more! 

Saturday Dinners will be starting November 9th!

Morning Coffee in the Clubhouse has begun - every morning 6:30 AM - 8:00 AM

2019-2020 Winter Snowbird Special

Here's the deal!

Buy 5 months and the 6th is free! The rate is $465 a month. The deposit upon making the reservation - by September 15, 2019 - would be $930. Upon check in, the first month rent deposit would be applied and a $75.00 electric deposit charged. The second month deposit, will be credited on the fifth month of your stay and the six month would be free. This results in a very significant savings and an effective monthly rate of only $387.50!

Winter Update - Snowbird Special and Golf Course Update

Water, Water Everywhere!!!

The pump is working and has been for a number of weeks, new automatic valves have arrived and are being installed, right now they water manually by sections although the new pump can water the entire course all at once if needed.

The Tee boxes and Greens and approaches all look pretty good, middle fairways are still a little rough, but improving. The worst hole right now is still number 8 - 1 through 6 are looking pretty darn good compared to last year at this time.

I took a cart ride today and managed to stay mostly dry, but wanted to cover the watering, most of you will recognize the locations.

You can see this area still needs some more coverage.

Yes those are golfers...

Things are moving along well at the park - pool heater has been replaced, several cottages are in the process of being refurbished and painted. New A/C in two units and we are interviewing workampers for winter daily.

We have an exercise person ready to join us this winter so look for a return of the stretching classes, morning exercise and some pool classes!

Bobbie has put together some of our events so make plans to be here!
