Saturday Night Dinner/Dance

A Great Saturday Night Dinner/Dance in the Clubhouse!

We take pride in offering good wholesome home cooked meals every Saturday evening in the clubhouse. Offered at a reasonable price with a Professsional DJ entertaining us with music during dinner and dance music following. This week our DJ introduced another fun item to his repertoire - BINGO, we plan to expand this some with some prizes and more games during the music, don't want to dance, sit and enjoy the music and fill in your card!

This week we had a sold out crowd (sign up by Thursday in the office) of 38 people. Stephen treated us with his famous Fried Chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, fresh garden salad and fresh baked rolls. It was fantastic! Next week is Spahetti and meatballs, another favorite - sign up soon, it will sell out!

Nice Crowd!

Soon the dancing started!

In spite of the Covid this past two years, we have been able to undergo a pretty extensive renovation around the park. We removed all the leaking skylights from all the buildings, rebuilt the pool (still a work in process), removed about 20 diseased trees, repaired the spa, still ongoing, installed solar heat for the pool and spa, new pool furniture, we are now also starting on updating our landscaping. We purchased a new skid steer so we can easier improve the landscaping and move dirt and gravel.

We will be painting the pool enclosure soon and the wall behind the roses. We have many more projects planned and continue to move forward!

Activity list is always updated, plan to join in and have fun!

Park and Spa Update

The leak detection people came back yesterday to repair the leaks they found last week. They did not hit 100% with the listening devices last week, but very close. They fixed the skimmer leak and then went about to find the other leak in the bubble jets, two small cuts in the concrete deck and a little digging and they isolated the leak to one jet. They were able to repair the leak and cap that one jet, filled in the holes, poured concrete and will be back today to further test and put down the cool deck coating. Now to get the solar heat tested and the propane furnace igniter fixed and we should be operational soon.

The front wall is now all replaced and painted so with a little clean-up when all the repairs are through, we will be ready to go!

Let's not forget the BEST Chicken dinner this Saturday evening, Kelvin our DJ will be returning!

Saturday Nite Dinner/Dance

This weeks Saturday Nite Dinner/Dance had a German Theme and we were rewarded with a fantastic Schnitzel Dinner with fries, mushroom gravy, cucumber salad and fresh green salad and fresh bread. It was a perfect meal, Stephen and our kitchen crew did a wonderful job.

How about this plate for dinner!

Kelvin our DJ provided some nice background dinner music and the got the dancing started when we were finished!

This coming Saturday is our 50's Themed Dinner Dance, with Burgers, Dogs, Root Beer Floats, Poodle Skirts, rolled up jeans and T-Shirts, come join in the fun for good food, Oldies Music and SOMETHING NEW - for you non-dancers there will Bingo going on all evening! For your safety information, we are limiting access to the clubhouse and social distancing tables and seating 4 people per table. Dinners are also available "To GO" for those who feel more comfortable in their rig. As the weather warms we will also provide outdoor dining. We ask that any one who has not felt good in the past 36 hours to refrain from attending our events.

Our pool/spa contractor came out this week to try and locate the leak and get the spa operational. Well we found the leak and it is fairly significant it is somewhere in the skimmer plumbing and will need to be located and repaired. Which means breaking through the concrete deck and locating the plumbing. They are working on an estimate to break up the deck and locate the main feed from the pump room to the spa and then check for leaks both ways, if the leak is between the spa and the pump room it will involve less deck destruction and a less expensive repair, if the leak is in the plumbing which surrounds the spa then it will involve a major spa rebuild and take more time and cost more. We are committed to getting the spa operational as soon as possible.
Since this was written in the Park Newsletter, one of our experienced pipefitter guests suggested we contact a company that can "Sleeve" pipes and fix leaks with minimal digging. They suggested we contact a leak detection company who can isolate the leak and identify exactly where the leak is and which pipe...So they will be here this week and hopefully help solve the mystery and provide a simpler less expensive solution. We will keep you informed!
