Saturday Night Dinner & Sunday Breakfast

Our Saturday Night Dinners are always a special evening and this Saturday we were treated to Frankie's Famous "Shepards Pie", with plenty of chicken and vegetables, a wonderful salad and fresh bread and ice cream for dessert.

After dinner our DJ rocked the house with plenty of great music to dance to!

Our DJ broke out a New Line dance and led the group!

By Request he broke out a Polka for the Polka Dancers....

A rousing rendition of YMCA!

Plenty of nice slow dances kept the dance floor busy!

Hey Bobbie watch your hand!!!

Sunday morning the clubhouse was once again serving up fun and a wonderful Pancake and Sausage Breakfast!

Big Jim was manning the griddle!

The pancakes were GREAT!

We had a nice turnout of about 20 people some arrived a little later after church!

Next Saturday Evening is 50's Night Sock Hop so break out your poodle skirt and join in the fun!

2017 New Years Extravaganza at Twentynine Palms Resort

The New Years Eve celebration at Twentynine Palms RV Resort is always a special occasion and last nights festivities set a new standard for fun!

The evening started out with Happy Hour then a wonderful dinner - we had roast Prime Rib or chicken, fresh garden salad, vegetables, fresh rolls and a wonderful desert bar!

The prime rib was exceptional thanks to our wonderful kitchen crew!

The clubhouse was decorated for the occasion!

We had a wonderful crowd of nearly 50 people

After dinner we had time for some New Years Portraits!

Then it was time for our DJ to Rock the house!

Lots of great music from old standards to old rock a little country western...and any requests!

Of course there was some great line dancing!

Our DJ even taught a few new ones...

The evening had tons of great dance music!

At midnight Chicago Time the balloons dropped at Twentynine Palms!

Blog Update - Christmas Dinner 2016

We had a smaller crowd this years for Christmas Dinner, however the food was plentiful and great assortment and as always the park kitchen crew did a wonderful job on the turkeys - we had oven roasted and deep fried to choose from and both were excellent. I apologize for not getting a picture of the crowd, but I got so interested in the food, I forgot...

Plenty of food to choose from - great dressing and mashed potatoes!

A wonderful relish tray!

The Turkey and Gravy was the best!

Make plans to attend our New Years Party on the 31st - make sure you sign up and pay in the office before Thursday the 29th - Great food and the music starts so we will be dancing the night away!

Our numbers continue to grow - Spud and Sara arrived today and we expect Jim and Linda later today as well.

Wednesday evening we will have happy hour and BBQ starting at 4:30 - bring something to throw on the grill.

Blog Update 2016 Christmas Party

Wednesday evening was the time to gather in the clubhouse for our Annual Christmas Party at Twentynine Palms RV Resort...

We start the evening off with some hot buttered rum and some munchies to enjoy with your libations.

Ben and Jim are our resident mixologists...

Plenty of snacks and toppings for our Chili Dinner!

Those who want to participate in the gift exchange bring a gift ($10.00 max) and get their name put in the hat to be drawn later...when their name is drawn they select a gift and have the option of opening it or trading it for one of the previously opened gifts...lots of fun chasing the good gifts around and stealing it from the last person who claimed it...at the very end the first person gets to choose to keep theirs or select from any of the other gifts. Great fun!

There were plenty to choose from this is about half the pile of loot!

Eddie scored big with some "Moose Slippers" and managed to hang on to them all night...might be because he put them on!

Judy won the prize for opening the most gifts, since every time she scored a good one the next person stole it from her!

However they ended up with some nice gifts!

Shirley who always has a great time - scored some wine so she was very happy!

Plenty of happy people with their gifts!

We had a nice crowd and everyone had a great time...we are still missing some of our regulars, they better hurry the holidays will be over soon!

Plenty of winter season left with tons of fun - so make plans to join us...
