Christmas Party - Hot Buttered Rum and Gifts - Oh My!

Last night was our annual Park Christmas Party and Gift Exchange at Twentynine Palms RV Resort!

The Hot Buttered Rum was flowing and the crowd was in a Festive Holiday Mood!

The bartenders were kept busy...and at least two tables were really festive!

A little buttered rum mix, some rum and a little hot water!

After the cocktails slowed down a little, we had a wonderful chili feed - everyone brings a can of their favorite chili it all goes in the cooker and is surprisingly good, always toppings of onions, cheese, jalapenos, crackers etc...a fun and easy meal for our party!

After dinner the fun and gift exchange begins...everyone brings a gift, male, female or unisex - $10.00 max - name goes in a hat, the first person to get their name drawn selects a gift, then the next person draws a name and selects a gift or one of the preceeding gifts and gives the unopened to the person with the one they exchanged. At the very end the first person then can exchange their gift with any of the ones after! Lots of fun with the good gifts moving from person to person with cheers and jeers!

The exchange begins and Jim Stevens was the lucky first name drawn so he will get to choose again at the end!

The infamous rechargeable electric drill - this gift made the rounds to numerous people and ended up with Jim Stevens at the end!

Someone also exchanged Shirley's Wine Glass, big enough to hold a whole bottle!!!

A great time was had by all and plenty of laughs!

Christmas Potluck Dinner at 2:00 pm on Monday, sign up with what you are bringing on the Clubhouse Bulletin Board, everyone is welcome, Park furnishes Turkeys and Ham!

Make plans for New Years Eve - special dinner and dancing in the Clubhouse - Prime Rib Dinner or Chicken Picata with Capers, Roasted potatoes, mixed vegetables, salad and rolls and dessert - $20.00 PP pay and sign up in the office

Ready for Santa and another wonderful Sat Dinner!

The clubhouse is ready for Christmas, a festive mood has been set! Shirley and Crew did a wonderful job of digging out the decorations and making the clubhouse a Holiday Treat!

Our wonderful kitchen crew delivered another exceptional meal for Saturday Evening Dinner, we had roast pork, mashed potatoes and gravy and vegetables, salad and fresh rolls and bread. A wonderful dessert!

After dinner we had a nice group stick around for some great conversation well into the evening - late almost 9:30!

Big week coming up with our Christmas Party and Gift Exchange on Wednesday the 20th - $10.00 max on gift and wrap and label male or female or unisex. Turn a can of your favorite Chili in to the office to enjoy the chili big pot dinner and bring a mug for your Hot Buttered Rum! Feel free to bring any sides for the chili like onions, crackers, cheese or any snacks!

There will be no Saturday Evening Dinner on the 23rd - Christmas Dinner on the 25th is a Potluck with the Park furnishing Turkeys and Ham and sign up outside the Clubhouse with what you will be bringing.

Saturday Night Dinner!

Our Saturday Evening Dinners in the Clubhouse are always special. Wonderful Home Cooked Meals are hard to beat!

Last night we were treated to Meatloaf,Green Beans, Mashed Potatoes and Gravy, fresh bread and butter and a wonderful Salad, ice cream for dessert!

Before Dinner we had a small award to present, it seems that Frankie Nobert our salad chef and kitchen crew managed a Hole in One on hole 9 on the Golf Course!! Frankie's Third Hole in One!

Baby Shower!

It's not often in the world of Old People that we get to welcome a new little one into the world - Soon December 20th...

But we opened the Clubhouse for a wonderful celebration of life to come for one of our own - the best front counter reservationist we have ever had!

Tammy our fearless leader planned it down to the finest detail and a great time was had by all!

Happy Hour and BBQ - Winter Crowd Grows!

Another Great Wednesday Evening in the Clubhouse for Happy Hour and BBQ. Our regular winter people continue to arrive daily and the crowd for our activities grows with every event.

Even though it was cold out by the BBQ we still had a nice crowd who stayed and cooked for dinner.

Tons of great conversation!

Please make a point of heading to the Clubhouse on Friday to help decorate for Christmas...around 10 am, but please check, we need all the help we can get.

Also get your name on the list and pay for Saturday night dinner, we are having meatloaf, mashed potatoes and gravy a vegetable and fresh salad and bread and dessert.

Saturday Evening Dinner

Our Saturday Evening Dinners in the Clubhouse are out to a wonderful start for this winter season. We had a wonderful crowd of nearly 30 people last evening, several new friends and a few of our old winter regulars.

As usual the kitchen staff delivered another fine home cooked meal for us to enjoy. We had Egg Foo Yong, Rice and Teriyaki Chicken Breasts, Egg Rolls and a perfect Oriental Salad.

The park is getting ready for the Holidays - make sure you come to the activity meeting on Mondays at 4 pm in the clubhouse and help plan our season.

Busy Thanksgiving Weekend at 29 Palms RV Resort

After a wonderful Potluck Thanksgiving Dinner Thursday afternoon with nearly 50 guests...we kept the weekend going with our regular Friday Evening Campfire and fired up the BBQ.

We had a few guest musicians jam around the Fire and enjoyed a nice evening with some great music!

A few brought some things for dinner on the BBQ!

The crowd varied throughout the evening, but some great sing-a-longs and fun!

We followed Friday Evening with our regular Saturday Evening Dinner in the Clubhouse and enjoyed Thanksgiving Left-overs!

Our kitchen crew did another fantastic job of saving all the leftovers and getting things all warmed up for a fantastic Buffet! 

Plenty of fun left this season - Make Plans to head this way - we are taking reservations for our wonderful New Years Celebration with a Prime Rib Dinner and Music and Dancing, get your reservations in, this event fills up fast! 

Make plans to spend Christmas Week and New Years here in the park and enjoy another wonderful Pot Luck on Christmas and then a festive New Years Eve with a wonderful dinner!
