FANS BBQ Truck Dinner

You know you are in for a real treat when the Fans BBQ Truck pulls up to the clubhouse!

We had beef brisket, baked beans, mac & cheese and slaw!

The meal was fantastic some of the best brisket I have ever had - beans and slaw were also great - mac and cheese was good as well!

We had about 25 people enjoy the food and conversation in the clubhouse!

Next Saturday the 9th - Burgers and Dogs and sides - $10.00 sign up and pay in the office!

Saturday the 16th - Spaghetti & meatballs, salad, garlic bread - $12.00 sign up and pay in the office!

No dinner Saturday the 23rd - getting ready for the Christmas day Potluck dinner - FREE - Sign up in the office with what you are bringing to share in the potluck - park provides Turkey, Ham and Gravy!

New years menu plan: Prime Rib or Stuffed Chicken Breast or Stuffed Portobella Mushroom, baked potato, fresh vegetable and salad and a dessert! $20.00 PP sign up sheet in the office later. Our DJ Kelvin will be in the house to ring in the New Year - Chicago Time! Make plans to attend!

Thanksgiving 2023

We had a wonderful crowd of over 60 people in the clubhouse for our annual Thanksgiving Pot Luck Dinner. The park provided turkey, ham and gravy and all out park guests suppplied the sides and deserts! Our kitchen crew knocked it out of the park with two delicious Deep fried turkeys and two oven roast turkeys and a wonderful ham! Rave reviews said the Turkey and Ham was the best we have had in years!!

These tables were all full at meal time...

We had a slight timing issue - realize many of our guests are retired and stopped living by the clock, however, our kitchen and staff work hard to have meals ready, on time and ready to eat at the published time, so please be considerate of the crew and your park neighbors and arrive prior to meal time, especially on pot luck dinners so we can get the food set out and organized properly, call tables and serve on time.

Meal time was 2:00 - by 2:30 all the tables were full!

We will be having the same pot luck program for Christmas Dinner so set your clocks to be on time please!

Our normal Saturday Evening meals are doors open at 4:30 and meal served at 5:00 PM.

The Last Supper

Time already to wind the winter 2022-23 Season Down.

No it was not the real last supper, but the last Saturday Night supper for this season in the Clubhouse. We want to thank Kelly and Rance Cochrane for a wonderful job and many great meals this season. They will not be returning next season as they are off to the East Coast to welcome a new Grandchild! We all wish them the best in their travels and hope someday they will stop by and say hello or cook for another season!

This weeks meal was fantastic and one of my favorites - Hamburger Steak, Baked potato, gravy and green beans, bananna Splits for dessert! Great way to end the season. Also time to say goodbye to Kelvin our DJ and we plan to see him again on New Years in December!

Luau Weekend!

We had a minor weather issue for the "Bury the Pig Celebration"

High winds and some rain looming on the near horizon. Our kitchen crew made the decision to load the pork in the fire pit and get it covered before the Native Chief could bless the pig, a little later the Chief and native Dancers fought the wind and made their way to the fire pit...the blessing was delivered in grand style!

Tropical complimentary Pina Coladas, moved inside just as the rain broke out!!

Quickly the evening progressed and in no time it was time for a wonderful Luau Dinner Saturday night!

Park News Update March 5th, 2023

Park News Update

Well it has been a crazy couple weeks in the high desert!

I was a little under the weather and missed last week in the clubhouse, my wonderful Roast Chicken Dinner was delivered! It was a fantastic meal of roast Chicken, with or without BBQ Sauce, mashed potatoes, gravy and cheese broccoli!

The dancers were out as well after dinner!

Then it was the week of weather - Our guests were treated to a rare occurrence here in the desert!

This weeks dinner was just as good if not better, Traditional Pot Roast, Potatoes, Carrots, Onions and fresh cornbread, followed by a birthday party with Cake! Sorry I missed the dinner pictures, it left my plate far too quickly!!

Birthday Party!

It was time for our annual Birthday Party to cover everyone's birthdays for the year! So we wish EVERYONE a Happy Birthday for 2023!

Tom Ryan our most senior member did the honor of blowing out the candles, hit it first time, not bad for nearly 94!

Then it was time to dance!

With the weather it has been a few weeks of trial and tribulations. The power outage a week or so back played havoc with our pool equipment, the spa heater had a few issues, seems resolved now, the pool pump was inundated with debris from all the wind and bad weather, we got that cleaned out and chemicals adjusted, now if we can get a decent supply of propane and a few sunny days we can get it back to a reasonable temperature!

LUAU SCHEDULE!!

We are starting Luau week here at the park... Friday the 10th of March at 3 pm the witch doctor and his troupe of native dancers will be holding our "Bury the Pig" Celebration behind the clubhouse - complete with Tropical Drinks! Sadly Bill and Vickie will be unable to attend this year, they are off on their own adventure! Looks like Rob, Vickie's son will be up to welcome our guests and mix up some Pina Coladas!
