UNDER CONSTRUCTION and starting back to normal!

 

There is a ton going on around the Resort!

The pool is moving along, finally got permits and destruction is now complete - next step will be to test plumbing and get an inspection then the pool will get shortened and re-tiled, new gunnite and a new pool deck - then water and solar heat!

The new steel for the new end wall is in!!

We are also removing all the leaking / poor design skylights from all the buildings, right now they are focused on the fitness / spa and restroom building so we can move ahead with the solar panels to heat the pool.

Oh and now that we can access the clubhouse again, we are starting up the Wednesday Evening Social and BBQ - so bring something to drink and BBQ - 4:30 pm to about 7 pm - BBQ at 5:00 pm.

And Saturday we are having a wonderful dine in Steak Dinner - get signed up!

The park is refurbishing everywhere so plan on many changes in your next visit, if you are here now join us for BBQ and dinner and pardon our dust and noise!!

FOOD TO GO!!!

The park is providing two TO GO Meal options weekly!! 

Sunday Morning Breakfast! 

We are serving 3 pancakes or 2 French Toast, sausage, fruit, juice and coffee for $5.00 payable at the door! Please wear your mask when picking up your food. 

Saturday Dinners! 

Each Saturday afternoon we will be cooking up some fantastic meals to go! This week we had a delicious pork chop, mashed potatoes and gravy and green beans and a fresh biscuit for $8.00 per person. This coming week we are fixing baked chicken, home made Mac and Cheese and Peas and fresh biscuit for $8.00 per person. 

We have a number of other meals planned, like home made meatloaf, fried chicken, pork roast and several others. Sign up in the office for your tickets. 

We are working hard to provide some functions for our guests participation during this restricted time, we ask that you please comply with all of the Covid-19 restrictions, wear your mask when out and about and in any of our facilities, please Social Distance as much as possible and should you feel sick with anything, cold, flu, Covid or any other contagious ailment, please stay in your rig or keep your distance.

Christmas in the Park

 

Due to the restrictions imposed by our Governor and the Covid-19 Pandemic, we had to make some changes to our traditional Christmas PotLuck Dinner...we decided a "To Go" dinner was a great replacement and we had over 50 people agree. We served Deep Fried Turkey, Mashed Potatoes, Fresh Green beans and dessert for $5.00 per plate. 

Kitchen staff started early in the morning and we served at 2:00 pm - had a great time and it was a huge success! 

Plenty of Pies! 

The Turkey was fantastic!! 

Plenty of Green Beans cooked with ham and onion!! 

We are planning an early New Years Brunch with hash brown casserole with ham etc. plus fresh fruit for $5.00 sign up in the office we will be serving at 11:00 before the football games start.

Toys For Tots! 

One box is filled, now we are trying for another, make sure you plan to donate!! 

THANKSGIVING DINNER 

We had a nice crowd for a wonderful Potluck outside, plenty of food, Turkey, Ham and all the fixins, as always the park provided the Turkeys and Ham. This year was a little bit more of a challenge with COVID - 19, we social distanced, required masks, servers dished up the food and we enjoyed the wonderful cool winter air outside in the desert!

Park Blog Update - Toys for Tots Please Donate!

Twentynine Palms RV Resort has a box in the office where you can drop off toys for the Toys For Tots program the Marines sponsor. We are happy to support our Marine Community and our Marine Corp residents.

Gifts must be new and UNWRAPPED. The box will be in the office until mid-December. Please make your donation and let's see how fast we can fill the box!!!

TOYS FOR TOTS!!

TREE TRIMMING PROJECT 

The tree trimming is now completed, we hope to finish picking up all the palm fronds and debris over the next few days. It is a huge task, want to thank our wonderful maintenance crew for a job well done!

Thanksgiving! 

Our Thanksgiving Dinner will be on Thursday November 26th at 2:00 PM in front of the clubhouse!

Due to Covid 19 and San Bernardino County restrictions we will be dining outdoors, tables will be socially distanced and limited to 5 people per table and will consist of family members only. Masks will be required when not eating and each table will be called to the indoor buffet one at a time. Please sign up in the office and list the side dish you will be providing. The park is providing the turkey and ham.

Winter Projects - the work begins!

Several large winter projects are now underway, several planned projects and of course there is always one which sneaks up on you, damn tree roots. 

Many of the palm trees in the park, especially down towards the dog park in front of the back-ins along Amboy road have been neglected and it was time to take a proper run at them with a nice large aerial lift and plenty of saw blades. 

You will note the one not trimmed yet and the amount of growth... 

The Lift makes it much easier!! 

And then the inevitable clogged sewer line, seems it always happens at the worst time! 

Beyond that we are managing to "Social Distance" and enjoy a few activities, Morning coffee is back and running every morning from 6:30 to around 8:30 or so. We are serving up pancake or French toast breakfasts on Saturday and Sunday! $5.00. 

Looks good doesn't it!! 

Nice fresh air in the morning and a great breakfast!! 

POOL UPDATE!! 

No construction yet, but the engineer has measured and is drawing up the plans for the new end on the pool, being submitted for approval and once we get approval we will begin work!! Look for plenty of pictures in the coming weeks.

We would like to welcome home, Bob Harriman he is back from his cancer treatments and looks great! We would also like to welcome back Ray Haag, who missed last year but plans to be here all winter!!
