The winter is winding down and some of our residents are leaving every day, however, there is still plenty of fun to be had. The Wednesday Evening Happy Hour and BBQ still had about 20 people attending, a nice crowd.
Every Wednesday we have enjoyed the music of a few of our local residents and it has been great fun, nice music to relax to while enjoying happy hour and our dinner...then a few stay later and sometimes it turns in to a real jam session and last night was one of those nights...a young couple with their two daughters arrived late to the BBQ with food to cook and a birthday surprise for their 9 year old daughter, however, Mom also happens to be an accomplished Ukelele player with a wonderful voice and it wasn't long before she joined in with our regulars and oh what a joy it was!
I find it amazing that people who have never played together can make such wonderful music!
It was great fun listening to their wonderful sounds, but there was a birthday to celebrate!!
The music continued while we enjoyed some cake!!
Another reason to not leave early from the BBQ!! And another reason to join in the fun at 29 Palms RV Resort!
Pot Luck Dinner Saturday Night so plan to attend...one of our last function of the winter!
